Unitech Wireless, the telecom venture from the Unitech Group, is looking for a creative agency.
The pitch was called in September 2008 and the participating agencies included Publicis India, Leo Burnett, Interface. The brief given to them was to help the new company Unitech Wireless establish its branding and break through the clutter of the telecom segment.
The agencies will be called for the first round in January 2009. The account will be a 360-degree initiative comprising print, TV, OOH, radio and the Internet.
Two hundred and fifty people have already been hired for Unitech’s telecom venture. Unitech plans to roll out its services by April 2009.
Recently, Norwegian telecom giant Telenor picked up a 60 per cent stake in Unitech Wireless. Telenor is an international telecom service provider, also into data and media communications services. It is headquartered in Oslo, Norway and is one of Norway’s largest companies.
