Following a formal pitch involving 3-4 agencies, Bangalore-based Temple Advertising has been assigned the creative mandate for electric car Reva. The size of the business is approximately Rs 4 crore. Reva has seen sporadic advertising in the past.
At one stage, Rediffusion Y&R Bangalore handled the business.
Brought to India by the Reva Electric Car Company Pvt Ltd, Reva is an environmentally-friendly, fully automatic and cost-effective electric car, which is easy to charge. It is positioned as a great option for city commuting.
Srikanth VS, Director, Temple Advertising, confirmed the win, saying, “This is a very interesting category to work on, which is poised to change peoples’ attitude and their view towards this category. The move towards choosing an agency came with the simple idea that Reva needs to be seen. It’s an ideal vehicle for city commuting, which needs to be communicated.”
Advertising for Reva will be led by print, followed by digital. Talks are still at a preliminary stage but it is unlikely that there will be a TVC, at least not immediately.
The clients handled by Temple Advertising include Kurlon, TVS, Vaakil, Deccan Chronicle, Wipro and Satva.
