Sun TV’s ad price hike

Advertising on Sun TV is going to get expensive from January 1, 2010. Sun Networks decided to increase the advertising rates for its Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam general entertainment channels after its tariff revision was announced.

The price hike the channels would be- between 6 per cent and 16 per cent for Sun Network’s Telugu channel Gemini TV, up to 10 per cent for the Kannada channel Udaya TV and tariff for certain programmes on the Malayalam channel Surya TV have been increased up to 5 per cent.

The slot fees received from the content producers have also been increased accordingly.
