Star Health assigns media mandate to OMD

In the wake of a multiagency pitch, Star Health and Allied Insurance Company, also known as Star Health, has parked its media mandate with OMD India. The account size is pegged in the vicinity of Rs 10-12 crore.

Confirming the development to exchange4media, Anand Roy, Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Star Health and Allied Insurance Company said, “We were thrilled with what OMD brought to the table and what they had to offer. Very specifically, we were pleased that they were able to give us local solutions for our digital business.”

OMD India begins work on the business from April 1, 2012. The incumbent on the business is Lodestar UM.

Roy also informed that Star Health will begin the search for a creative partner in April. At present, the company doesn’t work with any creative agency.

According to company website, Star Health is India’s first stand-alone health insurance company and deals in personal accident, mediclaim and overseas travel insurance.
