Raj Bhattacharya has been appointed as the new business head, all India at the outdoor media company, Selvel-One Group’s Bengaluru office. He moves here from Serve & Volley where he held the post of assistant VP – business development since 2008.
On his new role, Bhattacharya says, “Selvel One is an established and very stable company with a great history and track record. I hope to use my skills to advance the company’s key motives and businesses.”
Selvel One has been a frontrunner in the industry, being set up in 1945 and is currently being led by chairman and managing director Noomi Mehta.
The group has a vast presence of 43 offices across India and one in Kathmandu, Nepal with a huge number of media assets to choose from. The company offers all OOH formats including billboards, unipoles, foot over bridges, traffic signal, bus shelter, kiosks, mobile vans, flyovers, pillars, neon’s, tri-visions, LEDs, bus wraps and services ranging from outdoor planning to in-house creative.
As the new business head here, Bhattacharya’s mandate will be to push aggressively for new businesses.
Some of Selvel One’s key national clients include McDowell, ING Vysya, Metlife, SAB, ESPN Star Sports, Levis, Orient Fans, Westside, Electrolux, L&T, Anchor, Seagram’s.
Bhattacharya shares that the past few months have been looking up for the outdoor industry as a whole, saying, “Occupancies have gone up by 25-30 per cent recently and the outdoor industry is picking up again rather well.”
