When asked about her decision to call it quits, she says, “I am going to take a break after 21 years. I had planned at this juncture that I will take a break and spend time with my family.”
Before joining DNA, Saji had been working with the Times Group for 17 years on their magazines as well as the broadsheet. She headed some new launches like Femina Girl and also launched Femina in different languages — Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi — in 1991.
Saji went on to say that her experience at DNA was most enriching. “When I quit TOI to join DNA, people wondered why I did that, but I am glad I got the opportunity. Moving from a dominant leader brand to a new brand was challenging and enjoyable,” she explains.
