Richard Bleasdale by the end of 2009 will be stepping down as iris Worldwide’s Regional CEO for Asia Pacific. Meanwhile, iris has already identified a replacement for Bleasdale, which it will announce in the near future.
Richard Bleasdale said, “It has been an incredibly challenging and enjoyable period helping to mould and shape the iris network and offering across Asia Pacific over a couple of years. We have seen dynamic growth in our business with some superb new client wins. We have also seen the successful launch of our agency in China; the building of new digital, experiential and consulting skill sets across all our offices; a broadening of our geographic footprint with some powerful partnerships now in place in Greater China and South East Asia; some brilliant new talent joining the Nation; and even a few key awards.”
Stewart Shanley, Global CEO for iris Worldwide, commented, “Richard has been great for us. He has worked tirelessly to build capability in Asia Pacific. He has helped attract some great talent into the group and enabled iris to grow at in excess of 100 per cent in the region during his tenure.”
He further said, “We fully respect his decision to move on and wish him all the best in whatever he chooses to do next. In line with our senior succession plans, we have already identified a replacement for Richard that we will announce in the near future.”
