Bajaj Auto has pinned its hopes on its pulsar Bike. The company has decided to raise the pulsar production to 90,000 units per month, in the next six months with an enormous sales target of one million units per annum by the end of next financial year.
Speaking about this S.Sridhar Bajaj Auto’s CEO for two-wheelers said “We are witnessing a resurgence of sales in Pulsar. From a low of 25,000 units sales per month last year, sales have now shot up to 45,000 units per month.”
According to Sridhar, the company has set up an ambitious but “achievable” target. The production acceleration would take place at Chakan.
The company, which had a sales of 28,000 per month in FY09, is aims at selling 600,000 Pulsars this year (FY10) at a monthly average of 50,000 units per month, Sridhar added.
