Well-known journalist Mrinal Pande has replaced Arun Bhatnagar as the Chairperson of the Prasar Bharati Board. She will be joined by veteran film makers Shyam Benegal and Muzaffar Ali, and well-known media personality Suman Dubey who will function as part-time members of the board.
An Indian television personality, journalist and an author, Pande boasts of 27 years of experience in journalism. She has worked with big names like The Times of India, Doordarshan, NDTV, Saptahik Hindustan and Hindustan. Before joining Prasar Bharti, Pande was working as the Editor-in-Chief of Hindustan.
India’s largest public broadcaster, Prasar Bharati is an autonomous corporation of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The Doordarshan television network and All India Radio are a part of the corporation which is currently being headed by Baljit Singh Lalli, the CEO of Prasar Bharti.
