Afaqs: 56th National award got victory to Ogilvy Mumbai for their Pulse Polio film in educational/motivational/instructional film category.
The film was made with the purpose to spread awareness about polio and its harmful effects. Majority of the people ignorant to polio dosage are from the slum thus keeping them as the target audience the film was developed. The Movie speaks about the importance of polio immunization.
In 2008 -09, the agency had come up with a campaign for Rotary International’s India National Polio Plus Committee in which team of polio victims chose to volunteer to spread the word about polio immunization. They visited slums to pursue parents to take their child to nearby booth on “Pulse Polio Sunday”.
Using the victims themselves created a great impact on parents as they could see for them the ill effects. The film was shot live after setting up camps and booths across the city.
Aman Sachdeva has directed the film and Samrat Sudhakar Rane has done the copy and art while Zenobia Pithawalla is the creative director.
