With the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for April-May 2009, industry sources have confirmed that the National Congress Party (NCP) is the latest party to be looking for a creative agency to handle its political campaign.
Industry sources have revealed that the NCP is already in talks with a few agencies. The account size is believed to be substantial and the pitch is based out of Mumbai.
The Bharatiya Janata Party recently called for a creative pitch and will very soon take a decision. The incumbent agency is The Hive. However, the party plans to empanel another agency for the LS election campaign. The account size for the campaign is estimated to be Rs 150-200 crore.
The Congress appointed Crayons Advertising and JWT Delhi in January 2009 to handle its advertising mandate. The account size is estimated to be Rs 200 crore.
