OOH major Laqshya Media has awarded a contract for the fabrication and installation of hundred units of its ultra-modern steel bus shelters in Punjab to Minaean Habitat India.
Minaean Habitat India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Canada-based steel construction company Minaean International Corporation. Minaean Habitat secured the contract following the successful execution of orders for the production, supply and installation of two hundred and seventy-five bus shelters in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Laqshya plans to install one hundred and fifty bus shelters at various locations in Punjab. One hundred of these will be done by Minaean Habitat in Ludhiana and Jalandhar. The contract for the remaining fifty bus shelters will be awarded to another company which has not yet been finalised. Laqshya will earn revenue from these shelters through ad sales.
Indrajit Sen, president, Laqshya Media, confirmed the news of the contract with Minaean Habitat and disclosed that the deal is worth approximately Rs 6.5 crore. The contract was finalised earlier this month and the one hundred bus shelters are expected to be delivered within three months.
Sen also commented that, “Bus shelters made of steel are an unprecedented offering by Laqshya Media for the people of Punjab. I hope that the masses will acknowledge the social service angle of our property. Also, these shelters are an effective medium which brands across all segments can use for advertisements. Small format creatives can be shown accurately and vividly on bus shelters.”
The shelters will have one top and two side panels for advertisement displays. There will also be a free standing MUPI (multi-photon ionisation) unit for innovations.
The contract for these shelters will be executed in modular sections, pre-fabricated in Minaean’s Mumbai plant, shipped to site and installed. The company plans to provide the best installation processes by implementing dedicated execution teams based in Ludhiana and Jalandhar.
