MGM has launched a marketing campaign to create awareness of its channel across India’s metros. The move follows MGM entering into distribution deals with DTH and cable TV. Operators.
The month-long campaign will cover print, radio and online and will feature the tagline ‘The Lion Roars Across India’.
MGM Networks president Bruce Tuchman said, “We want fans of Hollywood films to know that MGM is launching in India everywhere. We showcase Hollywood in all its glory and all its eras. That is the message that the campaign will deliver”.
MGM, which is distributed by Star Den in India, has recently become available on Airtel Digital TV. “We are also being fed into dozens of cable systems across the country,” says Tuchman.
For online, the company is using banners on sites. For radio, it has tied up with stations across the country while print ads will appear in major dailies.
Following the subscription revenue model, MGM has not taken a decision yet as to when to start carrying ads on the channel in India.
