Law & Kenneth has appointed Neeraja Kale as senior vice-president in a move to add some more marketing acumen to the agency. Kale earlier was the business head, Marching Ants. Her mandate at Law & Kenneth is to build key businesses such as ITC and spearhead the new business development function as well. She will be based in Mumbai and report to Anil S Nair, CEO and managing partner, Law & Kenneth.
On her appointment, Nair said, “It is a significant recruitment for us, keeping in mind the agency’s future and string of key leaders. We are currently functioning as a marketing partner to a lot of our clients and thus needed someone who has enough marketing focus, besides the communication bit.”
As per Nair Kale’s role will be more as a national resource, besides contributing to major brands such as ITC and new businesses.
An MBA from Pune University, Kale started her career in 1995 with O&M Mumbai (now Ogilvy India) as an account executive.Kale has an overall experience of 14 years in the marketing and advertising domain and has worked for various agencies and brands. After O&M Mumbai, she moved to Publicis Zen in 1999, handling its international businesses such as L’Oreal.
Kale’s next move came in 2001 when she moved to the client side and joined L’Oreal as group product manager, Garnier.She had her second experience of working on the client side in mid 2002 when she joined Mattel Toys, looking after the Barbie brand.
After working on the client side and having some good marketing experience, Kale said that she started missing the agency life and this then prompted her to join McCann Erickson as brand services director,here she stayed put for three years. Here worked om brands such as Stayfree, Western Union and Babool, apart from new businesses. She also had a brief stint at Everest Delhi, (2005-06) and later at McCann Bengaluru. She joined Marching Ants in 2007.
