Hungama Mobile, a premier mobile entertainment company in South Asia, Middle East & Africa has been nominated for the Meffys Awards 2008 in the ‘Off Deck Services’ category for its mobile services for FTV India. Last year, the company won a Meffy Award for ‘Best Marketing Campaign in Mobile Entertainment’, for its campaigns for Hutch and Casino Royale.
The Meffys, often referred as at the Oscars of Mobile Entertainment will be held in Cannes this year on May 8 and 9. Hungama Mobile’s campaign for FTV India presents a plethora of exciting features including a downloadable FTV Mobile Application, FTV Videos, Imagery, Fashion tips, Fashion Games etc all on mobile phone. The mobile phone is being increasingly referred to as the 3rd screen and it truly proved its worth in this case, as consumers have liked the lifestyle content that it offers.

The 2008 Meffys has attracted entries from 21 countries spanning four continents, with the ‘Technology Innovation’ category attracting the most entries. The nominees focused on providing analytics, addressing usability concerns and tackling merchandising and pricing issues, which all goes to prove that the mobile entertainment industry is maturing.
