Naresh Gupta, national planning head, Publicis India has called it quits. He had joined the agency in 2008 as executive vice-president, strategic planning.
Before joining Publicis India, Gupta was head, planning, South Asia at Grey which he joined in 2000 as account director.
Gupta started his career in 1988 with Samir, Mudra’s research agency before joining Maharaja international in 1991 as marketing services manager. A short stint at Jagajit Industries as product manager followed after which Gupta joined the planning department at MAA Bozell in 1996.
In 1999, he worked with Contract Advertising as an account director in planning for year and later switched to Grey.
Gupta has also several awards like the Euro Effie for the Incredible India campaign; the APAC Effie for Nokia; the Asian Marketing Effectiveness awards for Samsung Cup; and the Thought Leadership award for the APAC region at Grey for Puppet Kings.
Some of the big brands he has worked on include Incredible India, Hyundai Accent, Samsung Appliances, Vimal, Parle-G, Hewlett Packard (HP) and Maggi.
