Grey Kolkata has been appointed creative partner of National Insurance Company (NIC), one of the leading public sector non-life insurance companies in India, following a multi-agency pitch.
The brand is planning to spend around Rs 25 crore on its advertising and marketing activities, with a consideration of a 360 degree communication. The insurance giant will use television, print and radio from the traditional media segment. It is also looking to communicate comprehensively with rural communities.
Suparna Mucadum, branch head, Grey, Kolkata, reacted to the win, “We won the pitch on the basis of the holistic approach towards the brand. We went beyond the tender presentation that each of the agencies were supposed to make, and submitted a strategic presentation marking out how the company could progress in a dynamic environment such as the one that we are in now.”
NIC is based in Kolkata and its foreign operations are carried out from its branch offices in Nepal and Hong Kong. It has about sixteen thousand skilled personnel spread across a network of about one thousand offices and covering remote rural areas, townships and metropolitan cities.
