Media veteran Divya Gupta has joined Hindustan Times as Head of Business for Mumbai. Rajiv Verma, CEO, HT Media Ltd, has confirmed Gupta’s appointment.
Gupta moves from Reliance ADAG where she was a Media Advisor. According to sources close to the development, Gupta will be reporting to Salil Sadanandan, Business Head, South and West, Hindustan Times. However, Gupta couldn’t be contacted for comments at the time.
Gupta had joined Reliance ADAG in December 2005, prior to which, she was President of TME, Rediffusion Y&R’s media arm. She had been heading TME since its inception in 1999. In February 2005, Gupta was deputed on an international assignment.
Gupta has had an exemplary track record of devising creative solutions to media and marketing problems. Thanks to her efforts, premier advertisers such as BAT, Lakme Lever (I) Ltd., Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson have seen their brand equity vastly enhanced.
