The Walt Disney Company India is close on heels of launching a new specialised unit called ‘Disney Media Solutions and Alliances’ to provide all the commercial opportunities generated by the Disney universe in India. Vijay Subramaniam, will lead this endeavour that will offer “unique marketing solutions through various opportunities that are multi–target, multiplatform and multi-property”.
Subramaniam elaborated on Disney’s plan of building sustainable relationships and forming long term commitments by engaging partners by saying “This is a key step in Disney’s growth in India.”
As storytelling is Disney’s forte, this division of the firm will also strive to provide current and potential business partners with the ‘Disney Difference’. This will include solutions from multiple creative engines for all different lines of business, including studios, television, publishing, home entertainment, music, online and live in-market events to connect with consumers irrespective of their location in a timely manner throughout the year.
Commenting on the new division’s intent, Subramaniam said, “It is after all about reach, relevance and experience, and Disney Media Solutions and Alliances would focus on these points.”
