Afaqs: Dish TV the leading brand in direct to home service is aiming for 10 million subscribers in one year moving from 7 million now.
Anindya Sengupta, deputy vice-president, sales, Dishtv India, said, “This year is full of sports events and we have lined up free offers to gain on new subscribers. We should be able to get 3 million more subscribers by next year to add to our existing 7 million.”
Dish TV has also come up with a special acquisition offer ‘World Cup Se World Cup Tak’. Sports fans can now avail 12-month gold pack plus set top box for Rs 3,190 and four-month gold pack plus set top for Rs 1690. The company charges additional Rs 200 for installation.
Dish TV is part of one of the biggest media conglomerates, Zee group. Dish TV has on its platform 250 channels and services including 21 audio channels with 7 million subscribers.
This service provider has a network of about 700 distributors and 48,000 dealers that spans around 6600 towns across the country.
