Vineet Mahajan, creative director, Contract Delhi, has decided to move on. He declined to comment on his next destination, but speculation is rife that he may move to McCann Erickson.
Mahajan joined advertising in the late 1990s, at O&M Delhi. In a career of more than 10 years, he worked with McCann Erickson and O&M Delhi twice before moving to Contract Delhi in 2005 as creative director. Now, after spending about three years there, he has decided to move on.
Speaking exclusively to afaqs!, Mahajan says, “I had an excellent stint at Contract and worked on some interesting brands with some fine people, including Ravi Deshpande, a great mentor. But I feel the time has come for me to move on. So, I’ve put in my papers. As for my next move, you’ll know soon.”
Mahajan is amongst the most awarded advertising creatives in India. Till date, he has won five Cannes Lions, a One Show Silver Pencil, an Asia Pacific Silver, two Cannes Finalists, six One Show Merits, two works in Communication Arts and more than a dozen national awards.
