Orchard Advertising has won the creative duties for Combe’s Just for Men hair dyes. There was no formal pitch and the ad spends are in the region of Rs 3 crore.
Combe is known to make health and beauty aids and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs. The company, which is based in Australia, is active in 64 countries around the world, which include Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Japan and Italy. It is entering India through a distribution agreement with Elder Healthcare. Television and print media will be used as a vehicle to make Combe’s presence felt in the sub-continent.
Trevor Bell, managing director, Asia Pacific, Combe, says, “We are currently conducting a research study to test the waters in India. Initially, we will launch a small range of products and we are happy to work with Orchard, which promises to build a strong connection for our hair dye brand Just for Men.”
Combe is currently evaluating the other products that could work in the Indian market like its Grecian Formula, Lanacane and Odor Eaters. It will launch its products in a phased manner.
