Following the creation of its new Executive Committee and strengthening of its creative team in Delhi, Bates 141 is looking to make three new appointments to its top management
Sonal Dabral, Regional Executive Creative Director, Asia Pacific & Chairman-India, Bates 141, along with Sandeep Pathak, CEO, Bates 141 India, are planning to fill three posts, one of which is Executive Creative Director, a post that was formerly held by Rajeev Raja. The second post is Mumbai Branch Head, which was occupied by Sandeep Pathak before his promotion to CEO. The final post is that of National Creative Director.
Dabral explained the need for a National Creative Director, “We could work on two models – either have ECDs in each of our offices, with me heading the creative operations, as ideally I am a creative person. However, my responsibilities are not limited to India alone. I also happen to have the responsibility for the Asia region. So, I guess the other model is that of appointing an NCD. I am looking the NCD as a very strong partner to me along with bringing his/her own philosophies to the agency table.”
On the selection process, Pathak commented, “We are looking at the right person for all the roles. Though there is urgency in filling up these posts, at the same time we are also very cautious because if the shoe gets the wrong feet, one might get a corn!”
Dabral agreed,“We have been spending most of the evenings with head hunters looking for the right match.”
