CampainIndia: Imagine TV, formerly NDTV Imagine, which is now owned by Turner General Entertainment Networks (TGEN), is undergoing an internal revamp by restructuring and streamlining of its different businesses.
Details of the restructuring were announced by Sameer Nair CEO, Imagine TV. Nair stated, “That the changes would help improve operational efficiencies and extract group synergies”.
Nair said that Shailja Kejriwal, head of both fiction and non-fiction programming, is taking a break. “After all the hard work and stress, she desperately needs a much deserved sabbatical for some rest and recuperation. However, she has been kind enough to agree to complete Desi Girl post production and then proceed on a break.” Kejriwal is also overseeing Marcom and strategy planning for Imagine TV.
Nair commented, “With this re-structuring, I believe we are directing our best resources and focusing all our efforts to the key task at hand – that of making Imagine a success in the Hindi GE space. (We will) also be able to devote our attention to resolving JV issues, pursue new business opportunities as well as successfully integrate TGEN into the Turner system and become part of the larger Turner – Time Warner family.
Nair further stated, “Over the next few months, we will be completing appraisals and increments, align our designations in sync with Turner and adopt standard company policies where applicable.”
