Afaqs: Srinivasan Swamy is the new chairperson at Confederation of Asian Advertising Agency Associations (CAAAA). The announcement was done at the annual general meeting in Mumbai.
Swamy, speaking about his future plans about CAAAA, says, “There are three basic things that seek our attention. One, to develop a set of business practices that will make our industry strong; second, to induct more countries as members in CAAAA fold; and third, to do activities and events that will make CAAAA a financially strong body to take on other industry building efforts.”
CAAAA is a forum where representatives of advertising agency associations in the Asian region come together to talk about issues related to the advertising agencies. CAAAA is a young institution and was registered as a society in Singapore three years ago.
Talking about Swamy’s appointment, Narita says, “I am sure that under Swamy’s leadership, CAAAA will continue its mission and achieve greater heights.”
Prior to this Swamy has worked as president of Advertising Agencies Association of India for three consecutive terms (2004-07). Currently, he is serving as a member of the governing council of the Advertising Standards Council of India.
