Afaqs: Kiran Murthi has been appointed as the station head at Fever 104, Mumbai where he will report to S Keerthivasan, business head, Fever 104.
Elaborating of his new position Murthi says, “Radio business is a new arena for me. In India, the radio industry is in a nascent stage. The whole business of radio is such that new technologies and innovative ways of marketing to reach consumers are myriad. My major role at the station would be to build listenership and create marketing solutions for the clients.”
A specialist in consumer marketing, Murthi will be working with a media company for the first in his career. He started his career in sales and marketing at Johnson and Johnson and joined Cadbury India in the marketing space a year later, to work there for almost five years.
Next, he worked as a domain consultant at Infosys Technologies for less than a year before switching to AOL India as marketing head for two years.
Some of the other big companies he has worked for include mChek and Go Mumbai.
