Titus Upputuru, creative head, Dentsu Marcom, has decided to switch to Saatchi & Saatchi as executive creative director, Delhi where he will head the creative function.
At Saatchi, Upputuru will be handling the main brands of the Delhi firm which include MTS, the new telecom player from Sistema Shyam Teleservices.
When asked about the switch, Upputuru says that the impressive work created by Saatchi & Saatchi in the global markets and the agency’s trademark of Lovemarks were among the main reason why he decided to move. Lovemarks was a term coined by the worldwide chief executive officer, Saatchi & Saatchi Kevin Roberts, for describing brands that invoke loyalty beyond reason amongst consumers.
Hoping to create some of his own Lovemarks, Upputuru says, “Love is the best expression of affinity and every marketer is forever struggling to have that for its brand.”
Ramanuj Shastry, national creative director, Saatchi & Saatchi expressed happiness to have Upputuru onboard saying, “Titus possesses maturity and craft that commands respect”.
