Sachin Bhatia, Co-founder, MakeMyTrip, has decided to call it quits after his 10 year stint with the online travel brand. He plans to start his own venture but will continue to be a shareholder and a strategist at MakeMyTrip.
Bhatia has played an instrumental role in the success of the brand and has headed its marketing for eight years. So when asked about his decision to quit, Bhatia said, “It has been a very good experience at MakeMyTrip. There has been a lot of learning for me in the last 10 years. It has been a long innings and with the company now mature and profitable, I felt it was the right time to move on and venture into something else.”
Bhatia also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and an MBA from Strathclyde Graduate Business School, Scotland.
