Sometime ago both kids advertisers went gaga over conflakes and substituted it it for traditional Indian breakfast but lately the scenario has changed. All the faas about cornflakes has stopped and people have ditched the good old cornflakes for Muesli. Muselie contains more calories proteins and fiber as compared to cornflakes.
Cornflakes sales, in the last quarter, have grown by only nine percent however, sales in Museli have grown by 40 percent.
Muesli has grown to become a favoured cereal among adults as well. “The ingredients that go into muesli are multifarious and interesting and it is promoted as providing a range of health benefits including weight management,” claims Viney Singh, MD, of retail chain Spar.
