After the exit of two of the CFOs at Balaji Telefilms, chief executive officer, R Karthik has also decided to resign from his position which he took over in April 2007.
Karthik had spent 12 years at Balaji, rising from the position of a senior marketing executive to eventually become the CEO of the media house. Commenting on his decision, Karthik says, “I’ve learnt a lot of things at Balaji in the 12 years that I’ve spent here. I wish to take those learnings to a new place.”
To replace Karthik, Balaji Telefilms have appointed Vikram Malhotra, as chief operating officer of Balaji Motion Pictures Earlier, who was earlier heading the marketing operations at Kingfisher Airlines.
In his four year tenure at Kingfisher Airlines, Malhotra was an integral part of the launch of its international flights and also took care of the Force India Formula One Team.
He has 10 years of experience in the industry and is a management graduate from the University of Mumbai.
