Martin King replaces LV Navaneeth at Radio One

Martin King is set to replace LV Navaneeth as the Chennai Station Head of Radio One, the FM joint venture between Mid-Day Multimedia and BBC Worldwide.
King who began his career in 1995 with The Times of India’s Response division as an executive, was the Heading the Sales division at Radio City, Chennai and Coimbatore before making this switch.

At Radio One, King will be looking after the sales, programming and marketing of the station.

Elaborating on his role, King said, “Since I am from a sales background, therefore, my focus would be on revenue enhancement, besides manpower optimisation and ensuring healthy operation of Radio One Chennai.”

He also went on to add, “A lot of innovation is expected in Radio One Chennai, so the second half of the year looks better than the first half.”
