Trent, the retail arm of the Tata Group has handed over the creative duties for Westside to Ogilvy Mumbai in. Publicis Ambience, who was handling this account for Trent, will now be passing it on to Ogilvy by the end of the year. Prakash Nair, vice-president, Ogilvy, Mumbai will be in charge of heading the account.
The switch was a no pitch affair as Ogilvy already has a strong bond with the Tata Group having handled quite a few of their accounts for years which include Tata Motors, Titan Watches and Taj Group of Hotels which is another Tata Enterprise.
The Westside brand has made its presence felt across the country from its inception in 1998 through 40 departmental stores in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Nagpur, Indore, Jaipur, Jammu, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Nashik.
The departmental store chain offers men’s wear, women’s wear, kids’ wear, footwear, cosmetics, perfumes and handbags, household accessories, lingerie, and gifts.
