Ramanuj Shastry quits rediffusion and join Saatchi & Saatchi as NCD

Ramanuj Shastry is all set for his new move.He is all set to join Saatchi & Saatchi as national creative director.


At present Shastry is serving his notice period at Rediffusion – Y&R and will be there till mid-June. He is most likely to join Saatchi & Saatchi by mid-July. After Shastry’s way out Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar will be the sole chief creative officer at Rediffusion – Y&R.

Saatchi & Saatchi havent seen anyone since 2008 after Ramesh Ramanathan’s quit from the company. There was nobody to spearhead the agency’s creative division. It is understood that Shastry is being brought aboard to up the agency’s creative product and standing in the industry.

Talking about his decision to move, Shastry was  quoted as saying, “I took up the responsibility as it provides me with a new set of challenges.”

Shastry, who is an MBA and holds degrees in Economics and Mathematics, started his careerin 1994 with  Ogilvy Indi.Then he  moved to McCann Erickson as senior creative director, where he was stationed for 11 long years.  He then joined Publics Ambience in JUne 2006 as national creative director. After an year Shastry moved to Rediffusion –Y&R in September 2007 as co-chief creative officer along with Mahabaleshwarkar.

Shastry has worked on brands such as Airtel, Virgin Atlantic, Chlormint, Coca-Cola, Saffola, Castrol and British Airways.
