Interactive agency Quasar Media, partly owned by WPP group, intends tapping the outsourcing business of digital advertising production.
For this purpose, it has set up a team of 50 people and created a digital delivery hub to execute the production of global digital advertising campaigns.
The agency has already won an account to handle the digital campaign production work of a global advertiser in the Asia Pacific region. The agency will work on customised banners, websites, mobile applications, games and contests for about 20 markets, including China, Hong Kong and Singapore.
A spokesperson from Quasar Media said, “We are ready to serve global advertisers who want to get their production work done for digital campaigns customised for other markets apart from the Asia Pacific region.”
Quasar Media is in the process of closing more deals. However, the spokesperson declined to reveal more details on the advertisers.
While the agency will pitch for production work, it will also leverage its WPP affiliation to earn business. The spokesperson said, “WPP usually shortlists a mix of creative, media and interactive agencies, which will combine to pitch for global advertisers. We will be one of the digital agencies, which will be pitching for global advertisers.”
The agency is not planning to set up any more offices in other parts of the world.
