The first edition of the WOW Event and Experiential Marketing Awards culminated with the awards night on March 6, at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai. The best of events and experiential marketing, professionals from the space, a rich mix of marketing heads, artistes and performers, and a smattering of celebrities graced the evening.
The evening was a tribute to excellence in the space of events and experiential marketing. It was an attempt by EVENTFAQS, in association with the Ad Club Bombay, and supported by the Rural Marketing Association of India, to recognise the efforts put in this space in the year 2008.
Dr. Bhaskar Das, President, The Ad Club Bombay; and R V Rajan, President, Rural Marketing Association of India, addressed the audience, and underlined the significance of experiential marketing and hence their organizations’ association with the WOW Awards.
The first edition of the Awards received 472 entries from 85 entrants across 28 categories. A jury comprising senior professionals from across industry segments judged entries in two phases, spread over 30 days. A total of 70 winning entries were announced at the awards night.
21 Gold, 26 Silver and 23 Bronze WOWs were presented.
