Vineet Mathur has joined UTV New Media Venture (UNMV) as E-VP. Earlier he was senior vice-president at ZED Digital, the interactive arm of Zenith Optimedia.
Mathur will report to TN Prabhu, chief operating officer, UNMV. Mathur says, “I will be responsible for the ad sales and marketing of the Internet and mobile properties of UNMV, such as UTVi.com, Techtree.com, CXOtoday.com and ChannelTimes.com. I will also be involved in chalking out UNMV’s future strategies.”
Mathur has about 21 years of experience, of which he has spent seven years in IT product sales and 14 years in the digital marketing and advertising space. After his stint in IT product sales at HCL Technologies, Mathur launched his own digital venture in 1995 – a website development company called Inet India Solutions. In 1998, he joined Hindustantimes.com as manager, ad sales and marketing, for two years and also worked for Go4I.com for a few months.
In 2000, Mathur quit HT Media Ltd and joined an interactive agency, Bridgeovertw.com, as its Delhi branch head. In 2001, he turned entrepreneur once again and launched his own interactive agency, Shri Vinayak Online Consultants, which managed clients such as Shaadi.com and MakeMyTrip.com. In 2005, Mathur set up another digital agency, Indiads.com. In March 2007, he joined Zed Digital.
