The grapevine has it that the CEO of BloombergUTV, Shantonu Aditya has put in his papers.
Neither has Aditya refused to comment on the news nor has UTV made any kind of official announcement regarding this. Sources say that Aditya moved out because of the fall out of recent developments at UTV. The English business news channel entered into a joint venture with Bloomberg, a global 24 hr business and financial television service and was renamed as BloombergUTV. Aditya was designated chief executive officer, BloombergUTV.
Aditya has been with UTV ever since 2007. He joined the organisation as executive director, UTV Global Broadcasting and chief executive officer, UTV Entertainment Channel.
Aditya had a two year stint as chief executive officer, Sahara One. He also worked for Sony Entertainment Television and served as president, SET Discovery. He has also been associated with AXN India.
Aditya has been credited with pioneering the pay revenue business model and has handled the distribution and franchise of Indian broadcasting brands such as NDTV, MTV and Nick.
