Starcom Worldwide assigned media mandate for Smirnoff & Johnnie Walker

Diageo India Pvt Ltd has assigned the media duties for its leading brands Smiroff Vodka and Johnnie Walker to Starcom Worlwide. The account shifts from Lodestar Universal,


which had been handling the brands since November 2006. The account size has been pegged in the region of Rs 18-20 crore.

When contacted, Santosh Kanekar, Head – Marketing, Diageo India, confirmed the development. He, however, refused to divulge further details.

Diageo, a global company, is in the premium drinks business with a collection of brands across spirits, wine and beer categories. These brands include Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Captain Morgan, Baileys, J&B, José Cuervo, Guinness and Crown Royal, among others.
