Star Plus emerges as the number 1 player

Afaqs: Star plus bags the first slot leaving other channels behind. The 300 GRP’s in week 9 lets the channel enjoy 22 percent share of the GEC (general entertainment channel).

Colors channel has managed to bag 21 percent share in week 9. Zee TV is stable at number 3 with 18 percent share, followed by Sony at number 4 whose share came down from 12 percent. NDTV imagine occupies 5th position with 9 percent share. DD1 and SAB have 8 and 6 percent respectively. Star one and Sahara one have managed 3 and 2 percent respectively with Star Utsav and 9x getting 1 percent share.

Two popular soaps aired on start plus tops among 10 most watched programs. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Bidayi are well acclaimed shows on Star plus and lures good number of viewers. Zee television has the 3rd most watched show called Pavitra Rishta with a TVR of 6.1. Na Aana Iss Des Laado stands at 5 and Uttaran bags 4th place in most watched programs.
 
Jhansi Ki Rani, Chhoti Bahu  Balika Vadhu, Pratigya and Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo are other shows included in the list of popular daily soaps.
