Sandeep Vij, executive director, Mudra Group, has been appointed chief knowledge officer at the Mudra Group, in addition to his current role. One of his tasks will be looking after the Knowledge Management Initiative,
The Knowledge Management Initiative will process the huge pile of information into knowledge that is useful across all Mudra specialist practices. The Initiative will create actionable knowledge across about a hundred categories, consumer groups, insight and trends, creative, interactive and rural media. The aim is to ensure future competitiveness, an upgraded skill set, greater productivity and better bottom lines.
Mudra will tie up with a knowledge processing firm through an outsourcing deal to help collect, process and analyse the research material required to create such a database.
Viji explains, “The whole idea is to put forth the data (knowledge) in an easily accessible format for our team.” The data is for internal use only and will be relevant across various Mudra verticals, including rural marketing, interactive, digital and OOH.
The knowledge bank is expected to be operational within three to four months. Its focus will be creating a supply of information for Mudra’s creative and media verticals in Phase 1. The function will be managed by a team of 20-25 people, including existing planners from Mudra, with a head in each region where Mudra has an office.
The team’s key mandate will be to deliver the thought leadership agenda, support new business development and strategic planning, ensure key client engagement at the strategic level and document and archive contributions to clients and their brands.
