Rukin Kizilbash, general manager, Taj TV India (Ten Sports) has called it quits after working with the channel since its inception in April 2002.
A part of the launch team, Kizilbash joined the channel as national head, sales to be promoted to the post of general manager, India operations in May 2007.
As a general manager, Kizilbash was responsible for heading advertising sales, distribution and marketing and maximization of revenue. He also led the successful transition of the One Alliance bouquet to Zee Turner.
Besides his high profile cricket events, he recently played an instrumental role in getting WWE superstar, The Great Khali, to India.
In an official announcement, Peter Hutton, chief operating officer, Taj TV, says, “He has not only guided us to some remarkable successes in terms of the revenue raised over the years but has also used his vast experience in the industry to develop and guide those around him.”
