After almost one year with Radio One, Raj Gopal Iyer has resigned as Station Head – West to set up his own advertising, media, marketing and HR consulting firm, Blue Ocean Consulting.
The firm will be mainly into manpower search, training and team building activity. The main objective will be to help organisations attract the right talent at the right time.
Iyer is currently serving his notice period and will continue working with Radio One until the end of March.
Iyer confirmed his resignation, saying, “I have already put in my papers and will be here till the end of this month. I am setting up my own venture in recruitment, training and team building activity. The entire objective is to give back the industry whatever I have learnt in the last 15 years. Radio One is an exciting place and people here are all passionate about their work and in building their brand. I had a good time working with Radio One, but then I always wanted to have a business of my own.”
Iyer joined Radio One in May 2008 and has considerable experience in the field of media and entertainment. Prior to joining Radio One, he was with Big FM, where he headed the NTR business nationally.
