Buzz18.com, in association with Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods International and Mukta Arts launches ‘Bollywood’s Next – Writer’s Contest’, a unique platform to highlight the country’s best untapped talent. Besides serving the audience with the daily dose of entertainment, Buzz18.com also believes in providing real time assignments to showbiz aspirants. Post the success of the earlier initiatives namely ‘Shortcut’ (an initiative with PNC to recognize budding filmmakers) and ‘Stir up your dreams contest’ (in association with Actor Prepares and Tanuja Chandra), the portal has come up with a unique contest which will give a good break to the future scriptwriters.
To ensure maximum participation, the contest entry process has been kept simple. All that the candidates need to do is submit their story concept (1,500-word synopsis) on www.buzz18.com before June 15, 2008. Shortlisted candidates will move to the next round where they will have to narrate a script idea on camera and the finals will be held before the jury on the day of the final event. The winners will be selected by an exalted jury comprising of eminent filmmaker and film industry icon Subhash Ghai, Script Writer/Actor/Producer Anjum Rajab Ali and Script Writer/Director Sachin Bhowmick and Editor, buzz18.com Chandrima Pal. The lucky winner will not just win a full-time scholarship at Whistling Woods International but also stands a chance to work with the production house. Plus there are other incentives too.
