Paritosh Srivastava has been promoted as VP, South at Rediffusion Y&R. Srivastava will be responsible for the southern operations of the agency’s Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad offices. Prior to this he was business head and branch manager, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, and has held the designation for a little more than two years.
Srivastava began his career in advertising in 2000 with Ogilvy. He was there for three years and worked on businesses such as Amaron Batteries, Discovery Communications, STAR India, VIP, indiainfo.com and Bajaj Auto.
It was Mahesh Chauhan who left Ogilvy to join Rediffusion, and Srivastava followed him to the agency. He joined Rediffusion in 2003 as group account manager. In 2005, he became the client services director. In 2007, he went on to head the Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices.
Srivastava is a graduate in mathematics, statistics and economics, and is also an MBA from Pune University’s Department of Management Studies.
In a release to the media, Mahesh Chauhan, group CEO, Rediffusion Y&R, said, “Srivastava has the experience of working with the teams and clients in Bengaluru as well as a keen understanding of Rediffusion Y&R’s future plans. This promotion was a natural progression of his current role.”
Srivastava said that keeping in line with the Rediffusion approach, the focus will be to expand the agency’s engagement through an integrated offering in the region, and further build on its robust portfolio of brands.
