Ogaan Publications shuts down ‘Brides Now’ and ‘Beautiful People’ magazines

Two magazines from Ogaan Publications – quarterly magazine aimed at brides-to-be ‘Brides Now’ and premium luxury lifestyle magazine ‘Beautiful People’ – are to be discontinued.

Archana Pillai. Group Publisher, Ogaan Publications, confirmed the news but refused to divulge the reasons for the closures.

Ogaan Publications was set up in 1996 by Kavita Bhartia. It has launched fashion magazine ‘Elle’ and ‘Elle Décor’ in India. ‘Elle’ is a title owned by Hachette Filipacchi Medias (HFM).

‘Beautiful People’, a bi-monthly priced at Rs 100, was a blend of fashion and beauty with seduction and imagination. It profiled the lifestyles of the men and women of the moment, in India and internationally.

‘Brides Now’, also priced at Rs 100, targeted the bride-to-be who was aiming to create a contemporary, dream wedding.
