i-mint appointed Neeraj Kapoor as the chief marketing officer (CMO). i-mint is the India’s largest customer rewards programme, founded by Loyalty Solutions and Research Ltd. (LSRL). Neeraj will report to Vijay Bobba.
Kapoor brings with him 17 years’ experience, spanning various industry verticals, including consumer electronics, home appliances, automobiles, FMCG and passenger aviation. Before joining i-mint, Kapoor was vice president, marketing, at Go Airlines, India, spearheading the marketing and corporate communications divisions.
A curriculum graduate of Landmark Education, Kapoor has successfully charted growth plans for brands like Sansui, Videocon and Kinetic, and later for LG Electronics India. He has won several awards, including an Effie and a Scooter of the Year, awarded by the Business Standard. He has also been awarded the Top Professional Award for the year 2007 by Safari India.
On his appointment, Kapoor says, “The present industry scenario is highly cluttered, translating more into a red ocean scenario. If one keeps ignoring the brand and mishandles it, the brand tends to lose on its stickiness, and thus, fades out. The i-mint canvas, on the other hand, offers a loyalty based programme that has a complete understanding of what the consumer needs, resultant to which we have a blue ocean scenario. I sincerely hope with such situations in hand and my specialisation in consumer insights, our partnership will yield mutual benefits in the days to come.”
Vijay Bobba, CEO, LSRL, says, “Neeraj brings with him a wealth of knowledge of the typical Indian psyche and the marketing knowhow that will help propel i-mint to the next level of transformation. In this role, Neeraj will spearhead the marketing and the corporate communications function and shall be entrusted with the responsibility to establish i-mint as the leading brand in the Indian loyalty market.”
