Anuj Dahiya has joined NDTV Media as national head, digital ad sales.
He will report to Narendra Tripathi, senior vice-president, NDTV Media. Dahiya has moved in from ValueFirst, a mobile data services company, where he worked for a year as country head, business development.
NDTV Media, an independent ad sales arm of the NDTV Group, is an exclusive ad sales partner for various Internet properties owned by MSN in India and the Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions (MDAS) platform. MDAS is responsible for selling ad space on portals such as Facebook.com in India BollywoodHungama.com, an entertainment portal and EquityMaster.com, a financial portal.
Dahiya says, “I will be responsible for selling the advertising space of various properties owned by MSN and Facebook in India. We will be pitching for new clients from the media, health, information technology and automobile sectors to advertise on sites in our network.”
Dahiya has about nine years of experience in the digital media space. He started his career with a job portal, Jobsahead.com. In 2002, he moved to Rediff.com and worked in its ad sales team. He joined Mediaturf in 2004 and was responsible for setting up its office in Delhi. In 2005, he joined Group M’s Mindshare Interaction and managed clients such as Hero Honda, Sony Ericsson, Indiatimes Travel, ABN Amro and GE Money.
In the traditional media space, NDTV Media manages the ad sales of various NDTV channels such as NDTV 24X7, NDTV India, NDTV Profit, NDTV Good Times, NDTV MetroNation, Mi Marathi, Just TV Punjabi and Sahara’s entertainment channels such as Sahara One, Filmy and Firangi.
