Afaqs: Raj Mohanty, senior business director, Poster Publicity has decided to switch to LG Ad as general manager, India where he will report to June Kim, managing director, LG India.
Explaining his new role at LG, Mohanty says, “While I was handling north Indian accounts at Poster Publicity, my responsibility at LG Ad will be on a national level, involving the setting up of the new entity.”
Before joining Poster Publicity in 2007, Mohanty had already worked with some outdoor industry giants like Clear Channel, Percept OOH and Posterscope and also handled communications at Airtle for a brief period.
LG Ad, a Korea based advertising agency, was established in 1964 as an in-house advertising agency for the LG Group of Korea. It started its Indian operations in January 2010 where the company aims at exploring advertising opportunities for LG products in the form of outdoor, below-the-line initiatives, in-shop branding, events and exhibitions.
LG Ad is currently based in Delhi and plans to open offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
