Lloyd Mathias has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer of Tata Teleservices Ltd. He recently quit Motorola as Senior Director – Sales & Distribution.
He will be based in Mumbai and will report to Anil Sardana, Managing Director, Tata Teleservices Ltd.
Although official comments have yet to be made on Mathias’ appointment, it is known that an internal mail sent out by CN Nagakumar, CHRO, Tata Teleservices Ltd, informs the company of the development.
Mathias has ample experience in sales and marketing. He was directly responsible for the success of some of India’s biggest brands like Motorola mobile phones, PepsiCo beverages, UB Spirits, and Onida TV. Internationalist magazine named him one of the fifteen international marketeers for 2006 for developing campaigns that had a cross-cultural impact. He did his Masters in Management Studies from Somaiya Institute of Management, Mumbai University
