Katrina Kaif has replaced Miss Universe Sushmita Sen as the brand ambassador for shampoo brand Pantene, owned by FMCG major Proctor and Gamble. Sen was signed in as the brand ambassador for Pantene in September 2006.
According to P&G Beauty Care Director Sonali Dhawan, “Katrina is the perfect beauty icon with healthy, strong and beautiful hair. She exemplifies the Pantene ideology of ‘inner strength that makes you shine on the outside’ and is a true reflection of Pantene’s image and its promise to consumers. Having worked with Katrina on a few Pantene assignments in the past and seeing the great fit between her and the new Pantene with 2X Pro-V, we have signed her on as Pantene’s official brand ambassador.”
The FMCG company has also re-launched its entire range of Pantene shampoos and conditioners of Pantene as Double Pro-V Pantene. Dhawan explained that this move was, “In keeping with P&G’s commitment to innovation to provide superior quality products which improve lives of consumers”.
